Pricing Strategies: How to Sell at a Higher Price Than Your Competitors?

Constant Discounting Will Destroy Your Store!

If your only strategy to attract customers is "to be the cheapest", you are on the fast track to bankruptcy as soon as a Chinese competitor or a massive corporation enters the market. The secret is not in the price, but in the Perceived Value.

How to Justify Your High Price?

1. Packaging and the Unboxing Experience

The customer does not pay for the plastic or fabric piece; they pay for the "feeling". Luxurious packaging, a thank-you note, and a light perfume in the box turn a $10 product into a $50 experience. Starbucks doesn't sell coffee; they sell "your name written on the cup and the cozy place".

2. Bundling

Do not sell a single product and compare it to the competitor's price. If the competitor sells a (camera for $500), you sell (camera + bag + photography course + tripod) for $650. The customer can no longer make a direct comparison and will feel that your bundle offers immense value.

3. Psychological Pricing (Decoy Effect)

If you have a $50 bundle (small) and a $100 bundle (large). Add a third (fake) bundle for $95 (medium with no notable features). The human brain will see the $100 large bundle as the "deal of a lifetime" compared to the medium bundle, and sales of the most expensive bundle will skyrocket crazily!
