Color Psychology: How Does the Color Red Make You Buy?
Colors Speak in Silence
Have you ever wondered why fast-food restaurants use red and yellow? And why banks use blue? Colors program the human brain for specific chemical reactions.
Meanings of Colors in Marketing:
- Red: Symbolizes energy, passion, and danger. It stimulates appetite (McDonald's, KFC). It creates a sense of urgency, which is why (Sale) buttons are always red.
- Blue: Symbolizes trust, security, and stability. That's why banks (Al Rajhi, Samba) and tech companies (Facebook, Twitter) use it to build trust with you so you give them your data and money.
- Green: Symbolizes nature, health, and wealth. Excellent for organic products, and also used as a "Complete Purchase" button to give the brain a (Go) signal.
- Black: Symbolizes luxury, power, and exclusivity. Rolex, Chanel, Mercedes. If your product is expensive, black with gold or silver is your way.
A/B Testing Colors
